Send KOTs directly to the kitchen, track cashier shifts, tag orders and customers
Here’s a roundup of the new features we have rolled out to Asimot this April. If you don’t see these features in your account, follow these instructions to get the updates.
Reduce manual effort by sending KOTs directly to the kitchen printer
With the new Asimot Desktop, you will be able to set up separate printers for Kitchen Order Tickets (KOT) and receipts. The printer in the kitchen is usually a network printer that’s connected to a wi-fi router. Chat with us if you require direct kitchen KOT prints, we’ll help you with the setup.
Ensure correct cash balances by tracking cashier shifts
Presently receivers can begin their shift by beginning the initial cash balance, make orders through their shift and end the shift by defining the closing cash balance. If allowed, the cashier can also print the shift report which generates the shift summary and matches cash sales with the opening and closing cash balance. Any cash shortage or excess gets flagged. The store owner and managers can also run and view the shift reports from the receipts page.
Capture more sales and customer data by adding custom tags
Our customers have been using the custom fields feature to capture additional details about a sale or customer. While this is helpful, there are cases when a simpler tag could be better. For example, you might want to tag orders by sales channels like Phone, Zomato, Swiggy etc. Or you might want to tag your customer as a regular or privileged customer. This is now possible with the new tags feature we have added to custom fields. For easier visual differentiation, you can select a tag color during setup.
We hope that you liked our updates, do send us a message if you have any suggestions or if you would like to see a demo.
